About Craig Harding

Craig Harding was born in the Seattle, Washington area, and moved to Alaska with his family when he was young. Craig spent most of the next 15 years in the Matanuska Valley, one of the most beautiful places of South Eastern Alaska with his parents and two younger sisters. Growing up, he was always happiest spending time outdoors. Back then it was exploring the forested 10 acres, building forts and 'selling' pieces of the property that he had staked out with wooden stakes to his sister for a handful of birch leaves. That was his first taste of the Real Estate career, and somehow, that love for selling never faded. Canoing the beautiful lakes in the area, fly fishing and salmon fishing, growing a garden, hiking the mountains that surrounded the valley, and cross country skiing in the winter when the snow got deep were just some of the things that Craig enjoyed most.

Life in Alaska was never dull, and influenced his life and career in various ways. He says," Living in Alaska provided me with a real opportunity to develop a broad base of experience in many areas and helped me to become very familiar with selling a varety of properties form luxury homes and commercial properties in town, to cabins and homes withacreage in remote areas. I find that my previous experience in Alaska comes in in really handy with the great variety found here in the Tennessee Valley and in the mountains of North Georgia.

As a young adult, Craig decided to pursue a Career in the Real Estate World. Speaking of what motivated him to make this choice, Craig says, "I really enjoyed meeting and talking with people and found that there is nothing like helping folks overcome the unique challenges that each one faces in selling their home, or finding just the perfect property to meet their needs." Craig started his Real Estate career working for the 1# RE/MAX Real Estate team in the state of Alaska. This gave him valuable experience and training to be one of the very best Realtors out there. He personally negotiated over 150 contracts and helped well over 100 people find the perfect home, and this top quality training and experience is what Craig is bringing into his career here in Tennessee.

In 2005, Craig made the big move from Alaska to South East Tennessee. What brought him here?  Officially, it was a job with a Local Church and Radio station, but there was another reason. Two years before, Craig, with his family, had visited some friends of his sisters in Tennessee in their little log home in the Collegedale area. The mild climate, the caving, beautiful rivers, and rock climbing caught his attention, but on that Spring trip, he fell in love with the oldest daughter of the family, Alicia, and Tennessee became even more attractive than ever.

Alicia went through the nursing program at Southern University in Hamilton County, and graduated with her nursing degree in the spring of 2005. For the past 3 1/2 years she has been working for Erlanger Womans East in Chattanooga, and now is one of the Assistant Nurse Managers for  the labor and delivery unit.

In April of 2006, Craig and Alicia were engaged, and began to plan for their new life together. On October 8th, 2006, Craig and Alicia were married in Benton, Tennessee, and settled down in Bradley County. Craig says, "We couldn't be happier." Both Craig and Alicia love the area, and enjoy canoing, walking and hiking and are currently learning how to do rock climbing.

While returning to Real Estate as a career, Craig continues to be involved with managing a full power AM Christian radio station that reaches most of Cleveland, Athens and the surrounding area.

As a Bible-believing Christian, Craig believes the Bible challenges us to live the principles that it sets forth and carry them into all aspects of life, and both he and Alicia strive to bring its principles of hard work, integrity and compassion and apply them to their business pursuits. They are very involved in their local church and have helped extensively with community services such as, Stop Smoking Clinics, Health Education and Cooking Schools, as well as Gospel Meetings, among other things, and find it very rewarding.

Craig says, "In selling Real Estate, I believe in Setting a Higher Standard of service and performance. Choosing a Realtor to sell your home is such an important decision, and it is one I take very seriously. I am committed to going the extra mile, either to help you be successful in selling your home or in helping you to find just what you are looking for. I believe in exceeding your expectations and giving you what you are really looking for. Because I want to give you the best kind of service, I survey every one on my clients to find out how I did and how to do better. If you are not happy, then I am not either. I have invested allot of time and effort in getting the best Real Estate training available, as well as spending allot of money to make sure your home stands out and is seen by more people in more places than ever before. I am not interested in listing homes just to end up disappointing people when the homes don’t sell. Results are the name of the game and that is my commitment to you."
